Disproportionately outsize control of these economies by ex-KGB gangsters, Kleptocratic Oligarchs and/or politically-sponsored fraudulent con-men, corrupt, kleptomaniacal leaders in these societies who cling to autocratic power -- continuing to self-delude themselves in the dregs of the now-imploding false-flag propaganda wars of their own making, playing prideful, ego-driven mind-games amongst themselves, and with their subjects. All while enjoying the personal high living that their ordinary citizens have no path towards.
(C) the Dutch Disease / Structural Fallacy of Resource-Extraction-centric economies.
(D) an oncoming Demographic collapse, that would be very hard to counter.
(E) Worsening irreversible Climate Change devastation (driven by continuing Fossil Fuel engagement and lack of focus on ruthlessly curbing the expanding Greenhouse Gas footprint).
(F) Skyrocketing deficits, high and rising inflation and interest rates, crashing export incomes, steadily rising loan default rates, sinking value of the currency (despite constant artificial manipulation by the government to prop-up the currency's value), unmanageable debilitating financial conditions.

Dramatic ostracization from most countries of the world (barring a very few other rogue Failed States controlled by other psychopathic kleptocrats focused on the auto-asphyxiation of their own dystopian domains), coupled with a slow but steady move towards Colonization under the Chinese Communist Party's autocratic hegemony -- and its consequent promise of brutalization and virtual slavery ('befitting' the lot of any junior 'Resource Colony', a phenomenon that has repeatedly marked the pages of history, and not just in the cases of Xinjiang and Tibet).

Wealthy people and high-income earners, and even middle-class people (not to mention virtually all other segments of society), in many places across the world -- feel persecuted : by deteriorating economic and political conditions, and/or unjustifiably high and rising tax burdens, generally unmatched by the low quality and quantum of services from the tax-collecting state (often riddled with corruption, incompetence and social backwardness).
"Digital Nomads" / online workers, who can earn their livelihoods living just about anywhere (with decent internet connectivity), are amongst those who seek low-tax / no-tax non-intrusive jurisdictions to call their home-base.
Vanuatu is a small island nation, non-aligned and neutral in world politics, stable and peaceful, with no wars or hostile neighbors. According to Happy Planet’s 2021 index, Vanuatu is the ”second HAPPIEST COUNTRY on the planet”!
Vanuatu has no income tax (personal or corporate), no wealth tax, no capital gains tax, and no inheritance taxes (although there is indirect or expenditure-based taxation, e.g., VAT). It is estimated that in 2020, the Government of Vanuatu earned upto 38% of its Annual National Income (GDP) -- USD 96 Million -- from the revenues earned by its (Citizenship By Investment) DSP (Development Support Program) -- which go directly into the Vanuatu Government's Local Development Fund. The political leadership is pro-Western (proudly a member of the British Commonwealth), Climate-Change-Mitigation-Pro-active, and very business-friendly, with ambitions to develop Vanuatu into a Tax-free financial and banking haven, and a Yachting hub.
Compared to the 'First World' / 'Western Countries', Vanuatu is much less expensive to live in.
These South Pacific islands are extremely beautiful, with lush green equatorial rainforests teeming with exotic flora and fauna, stunning coral atolls, clear blue lagoons where one can watch the dolphins play, sunny golden beaches where people can bathe in the warm crystal-clear sea throughout the year. The native tribal inhabitants are friendly and welcoming.
